Community Investment Tax Credit Program (CITI)

The Taste of South Boston is the annual fund raising benefit of the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation (South Boston NDC). Once again this year, any Massachusetts tax payer that sponsors or donates at least $1,000 to the Taste of South Boston and/or South Boston NDC, is eligible to receive a Massachusetts state tax credit equal to 50% of your donation.

The Massachusetts Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) was created by Chapter 238 of the Acts of 2012. The CITC is designed to enable local residents and stakeholders to work with and through community development corporations (CDCs) or Neighborhood Development Corporations (NDCs) to partner with nonprofit, public, and private entities to improve economic opportunities for low and moderate income households and other residents in urban, rural, and suburban communities across the Commonwealth. CDCs and NDCs accomplish this through adoption of community investment plans to undertake community development programs, policies, and activities.

South Boston NDC has been approved to offer up to $100,000 of these MA state tax credits to distribute to our donors and sponsors. Your contribution will allow us to leverage your private contributions to build strong community partnerships. South Boston NDC will use your donation to fund existing and new initiatives that will promote economic opportunity for local small businesses, enhance the health of the environment of our neighborhood, and to provide affordable housing for: workforce, veterans, and seniors in the South Boston community.
